I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
This story involves a myriad of sensitive issues on different levels. 
Dani is a young woman with a troubled past that unfortunately, she cannot fully recall. Gabe, a police detective living in her California home town, has been smitten with her yet has never been able to break through her façade.  When Dani’s father dies, she flies to Italy, to pay her last respects and settle his estate.
This book carries many subplots throughout the entire story with plenty of action to maintain interest. It was well written and very well thought out.
I have one major caution. Do not begin reading this at night. Book hangovers are a pain in the butt. You will not be able to put it down.
This is an author I will follow. Definitely a five-star book.

An avid quilter and bocce player, she currently lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband and two furry "sons" who don't seem to realize they're just dogs.
